Bio:

I grew up in an active family environment playing sports through college and eventually taking up boxing and MMA. After entering the professional world my lifestyle slowed, sitting at a desk for 8-10 hrs a day lead to a bad diet and lack of exercise.  A colleague at work introduced me to CrossFit and it changed my life. Since then I have become a proud father and gym owner and my goal is to create a family friendly environment offering the best service possible to both the elite athlete and the average person.

Pam Gagot

Bio:

Pam graduated from The University of Texas with a BS in Kinesiology and a minor in Nutrition. She held a personal training certificate from The Cooper Institute where she trained at Mecca Gym & Spa and Gold's Gym. Pam has been involved in sports and fitness her entire life. She was introduced to Crossfit in 2008 and has never looked back. She believes that it has made her a proficient and stronger runner/triathlete and believes that Crossfit can better anyone's sport of interest. One of her major athletic accomplishments was finishing Ironman Texas (May 2011).

An active member of the crossfit community, Emily Talley joined Woodward Crossfit team in January 2011. She is currently working toward a degree in Kinesiology/ Health Promotion with a Minor in Nutrition at UT Austin. Her passion is health and wellness and has a goal to help people combine crossfit with quality nutrition as a base for a healthy lifestyle.

Bio:

I have been actively competing and working out since I was about 12. I have been involved in everything from Football to Mixed Martial Arts to Gymnastics. Yet through all the sports I have been involved with, I have never been challenged physically and mentally way that I have been challenged in Crossfit. That is why I love it. I love the challenge. I love pushing myself beyond what I think I am capable of doing.

Before coming onboard with the Woodward Crossfit Team, I coached competitive gymnastics for two years and trained on the University of Texas Gymnastics Team. I love the elements of gymnastics that Crossfit has brought into training.

I am currently pursuing a Kinesiology degree in Health Promotions with a dual specialization in Coaching and Strength and Conditioning at the University of Texas.

Bio:

I was always active as a child but it wasn’t until high school that I started a 17 year career in music through Drum & Bugle Corps that resulted in 4 World Championships. The most fulfilling experiences were during 3 years touring the United States performing intensely demanding shows. After college, I joined the unstable sedentary corporate world only to crave being active again so I joined the US ARMY.  I began CrossFit in August 2010 at the recommendation of my husband, who was newly deployed and CrossFitting in Afghanistan. I began as a client at CrossFit Round Rock then became a coach there 6 months later when I completed my Level 1. I came to Woodward CrossFit in November, 2011 to continue my

development as a coach and athlete.

Bio:

Andy Reardon began his journey as a United States Marine, 1987-1992, and has since continued to serve his community as a 15-year veteran of the Austin Fire Department. His day-job is currently Captain of Arson Investigations, but he spends his early mornings, evenings, and weekends coaching at Woodward CrossFit.

He is also a former road and mountain bike racer.

Besides being an avid CrossFitter I also run marathons and once I qualify for the Boston marathon I'll pursue my goal of an Iron Man!

This is an after school CrossFit program for teens to help build mental toughness, physical fitness, self-esteem, & to help them understand the importance of giving back to their community. The Monday and Wednesday class is all girls, and the Tuesday and Thursday class is all boys.

Bio:

By day, Georgia is a chapter relations wiz for an oncology association, but in her off hours she is just another crazy CrossFitter. Georgia has been CrossFitting since November 2007. Her sports background includes competitive gymnastics, cheerleading, cross-country, and NCAA Division III field hockey & track. CrossFit provides her an outlet for her competitive and athletic fix. She has a particular affinity for lifting heavy and gymnastics movements, but believes that there is no better way to get and stay fit than CrossFit.
